NEW HORIZONS

Chas, his brother and sister live in Australia. Their parents have adopted Joe, a half-caste Aboriginal. Chas and Joe share a strong bond. Joe dies young. Although heart-broken, Chas gets on with his life; he becomes a jackaroo (cowboy) and farmhand
on a large station.

One day he meets buffalo hunters and joins them. After a couple of years he travels to Indonesia with a Dutch friend. He starts building houses and sells the horns and hides.

Although successful, the achievem
ent doesn t give him fulfilment. He starts a new challenge and makes a lot of money. He then meets a beautiful woman, marries her and has children.

One day World War II breaks out. The Japanese soldiers capture Chas and his two sons. Chas h
as become an old man now, and he is still thinking of his brother Joe.
