STRING QUARTET NO. 1

String Quartet No.1 is the result of a hyper focus phase Jeroen had back in April of 2022 in which he composed the general outline of the entire work in a matter of days. String Quartet No. 1 separates itself from the main body of works by the composer up till this point, as it is composed in a far more ''happier'' mood than is usual for him and it is a far more focused and structured work than most of his other works. To the composer, the music represents a garden full of flowers about to burst into blossom, with plenty of leisure about and fluttering birds.
